The Teachers' Bios

Here, you will find information about the teachers you will interact with throught your time in MMA.

Mr. Fell

Mike Tripden Fell - Presently teaching Government/Economics, US History, and World History. Mr Fell has been working with teenagers since 1973.  Unfortunately, his jokes are as old as he is, but he aims to offer a humorous approach to learning. He is married to Cathy Fell, a lovely girl he met in high school, and they have 3 grown sons, 3 lovely daughter-in-laws, and 5 grandkids.  In class he does have a few peculiarities; one of which is "there is no talking in the theater." If you can laugh at his jokes and sit quietly in your seat for 50 minutes, you will learn in an enjoyable way.

Mr. Schneider

"I really love the connection between rocks and living things, and that is what led me to earn not only a college degree in geology, and then another in biology, but then a masters degree that fuses those 2 concepts together, which is paleo-ecology. And so it is no surprise that I find myself teaching MMA Biology and MMA Geology, not only because of those two exciting topics, but also because MMA students and teachers are great people who I enjoy being with tremendously. When I'm not teaching, I often find myself hiking through mountains, wondering about the trillions of events that led to the natural ecology that I love so much.  I like to travel, and hope to someday experience the south pole in Antarctica."

Mrs. Connor

"Hi! Howdy! Greetings! Welcome! My name is Jennifer Connor, and I am the Multimedia English teacher at Serrano High School. This is my 14th year teaching in the Snowline School District. I taught at Chaparral High School for three years and transferred to Serrano to be the Multimedia English teacher in 2004. I  graduated from Serrano High School in 1996 and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture Communications and Minor in Technical Writing---Go MUSTANGS!!!! I also possess a Masters in English and Masters in Arts of Teaching degrees. I am so blessed to be married to my wonderful husband, John Connor, (no relation to the Terminator films)  and together we have two beautiful children Cole and Rosie. We coach all of our kid’s sports (baseball and wrestling) and work in the real estate field buying, selling, and renting houses. We are a crazy, active family that loves adventure and time together. I am so blessed to be part of the Multimedia Academy at Serrano High School and look forward to teaching my students everyday!!!"

Mrs. Myers

"I am the math teacher in the MMA program.  I have been a teacher at Serrano since 2002.  I joined the MMA program this year (2014-15).  I have always loved math and been fascinated with how numbers work to represent real life applications.  I started tutoring as a part time job while I was in high school.  After a working in the business/accouting world for a few years, I decided to return to school and become a math teacher.  My favorite subject to teach is Geometry.  I enjoy camping, especially at the beach. I also love to cook."

Mrs. Nuse

"I teach the Multimedia classes for our Academy and love every minute of it.  I grew up watching movies and my favorite thing to do was watch the behind the scenes footage to see how the movies were made. I love how it takes so many people collaborating together to produce a film. I was fortunate to study Film and TV Productions at Chapman University and I continue to work on independent films as well as own a video production company, along with my wonderful husband. I see the same enthusiasm for film-making from our MMA students.  It is exciting to see their personalities and gifts emerge through the art of media; from graphic design to creating short films. I feel so blessed to be a part of this Academy!  Along with my love of movies is my obsession with Disney.  My husband and I have season passes and go to the Happiest Place on Earth every chance we get!"
